When I think of New Year's Resolutions two key characteristics come to mind...
1. Sustainability - In order to create a new habit, it has to be sustainable, and if it's not, then there's no hope for it to stick. Sure, maybe you'll get through January. MAYBE, the first week of February. The key to a good habit, and therefore your 'New Year's Resolution' is to create a sustainable one. Something small that you can do on a consistent basis; daily, weekly, biweekly, etc. If you can't imagine staying with something for more than 3 months; that's a red flag.
2. Growth - The other key component for me personally, is to be able to track my growth over a period of time. Hence the point of this blog, to be able to try new things every week, and to be able to document what it was like, the results, if I liked it, etc. Plus, if you aren't growing in a positive way, then what's the point?
Each day we should strive to grow to be a better and kinder person, to both ourselves, and to others. Having a space to be able to document it all is even better. Allowing words to flow freely, opinions to be expressed in an honest way, that's where growth comes from in my own life, and hopefully in yours
too.
Don't forget to take some time in these next few days to reset, get outside, and recenter your mind.
So thank you for joining me in this initial stage of my journey,
Hope you have a great holiday season. :-)
